On to Greater Heights

I claimed this year,

'On to greater heights and to see many wonderful sights.'

And it became year of transitions, 

Stretching came in different seasons.

2017 has been a year full...

Of leaving and staying- 

To conquering new territories,

Telling the people of His stories.

To staying where I'm for a reason,

Assured of God's will for this season.

Of moving on and pressing on- 

Forgetting everything from the past,

I stopped dwelling from those 'what had been.'

God taught me to press on to things that last,

And be hopeful for things not yet seen.

Of hellos and goodbyes-

Welcoming new people in my life

Who keep me sane and push me to thrive.

Then to some people I bid goodbye,

Thanks to the lessons you brought to my life.

Of passion and purpose-

To do things that make me feel alive,

And give my heart in all that I do.

Knowing my purpose clears all worries,

All my stories are for His glory.
