Begin Again

God says, 

"Do not be afraid to try again."

"But what if I can’t make it? 

What if I fail again?"

Asks the afraid little girl inside of me.

Scared of trying again,

Insecure of my failures in the past.

Yet as You say so,

I will let go and obey You.

I will begin again.

I will begin again

By letting go of everything I’ve hold on to. 

I will not allow fear to paralyze me again,

I will not allow insecurities to eat me this time. 

I will begin again

By clearing my mind from all the lies.

I will stop thinking of what might others think,

And I will start doing things only for You.

I will begin again

By daily doing small steps of obedience.

I know that these will lead me closer to You.

I submit to Your lordship over my life.

In You, I am made victorious.

In You, my identity is secured.

In You, my strength is restored. 

In You, my hope is found.

I will begin again

With You.
